Volunteer Opportunities

From becoming an advocate to lending a helping hand at a special event or with a skill-based project, Pet Partners of Arizona wants to reach more individuals in the community with our mission. We can only do this with the support of our community! Here are ways you can support our activities and mission:

THERAPY ANIMAL HANDLER

Visit our volunteer page if you are interested in becoming a registered therapy animal handler.

COMMITTEES

“UNLEASHED” VOLUNTEER

Becoming an “unleashed” volunteer simply means you are interested in helping Pet Partners of Arizona in a way that does not involve your animal, like helping set up an event or administrative assistance at the office. Always check our volunteermatch.org opportunities or contact us for additional information on available unleashed volunteer opportunities.

INTERN & MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Pet Partners of Arizona is always excited to welcome new interns throughout the year. We currently partner with the University of Arizona and Arizona State University to ensure interns receive class credit. Interns will receive valuable hands-on experience by working in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. Internship opportunities include but are not limited to programs, special events, PR/communications, volunteer management, and community outreach.
