A Community Supports Each Other

In fall 2020, a local pet store, Wag Heaven Pet Supplies & Self-Service Dog Wash, opened their second store in our town. It is a tough time to open two stores within 18 months of each other, but the owners, Jeff Manley and Jusak Yang Bernhard, did it. They, like other small businesses, are struggling.

They are strong believers in supporting the community and put their support of others before themselves. They find ways to help various nonprofit organizations throughout our community. Recently they did a dog wash fundraiser for another nonprofit animal organization in our town. They also support our local Georgetown Fire Department fire dog, Koda, and handler Jonathan Gilliam, who are a registered Pet Partners team. They provide the dog’s food and pay for trading cards for Koda to give to all the school children and seniors when they visit.

Both Jeff and Jusak are amazing supporters of Pet Partners. They provide a discount for self-service baths for active teams, and have items in stock for our teams that we request, such as treat bags, training treats, harnesses, and more.

When they were gearing up to open their second store, they approached me and asked if they could incorporate a fundraiser to go to Pet Partners. During the open house, there were two Pet Partners teams always present to answer questions and further promote Pet Partners.

On December 9, they presented me with a check for $800 to support Pet Partners. I know $800 is not an overwhelming amount, but for these two businessmen from a small town like Georgetown, TX, this is a true sign of support for Pet Partners.
