April 7-13, 2019 is #VolunteerAppreciationWeek, and Pet Partners wants to celebrate all of the dedicated volunteers who are the heart of our Therapy Animal Program! During the week we’ll be sharing stories on social media about some of our volunteers and how important they are to our program, to their communities, and to each other.
Just say whoa to bullying! This Pet Partners miniature therapy horse taught elementary students the importance of being kind at a recent presentation on anti-bullying. As we come to the end of #VolunteerAppreciationWeek, we’re pleased to share the efforts of handlers Linda and Jim Woods and the horses of Mini Hooves of Love in bringing the message of kindness to their community. Pet Partners is proud to register nine types of therapy animals, because love comes in many forms. Thanks to our handlers of the less-common species that do therapy work—your efforts help ensure that people have many options for visiting with a therapy animal!
