Pet Partners invites prospective volunteers to attend free, one-hour informational webinars (online interactive presentations) to learn about our Therapy Animal Program. Led by experienced volunteers with the assistance of Pet Partners staff, these sessions will cover the process for becoming a registered therapy animal team with your pet.

2018 Webinars for Therapy Animal Teams

Pet Partners is pleased to offer live webinar sessions which occur on the third Thursday of every month. Topics  for each offering will be announced throughout the year. While these webinars are particularly relevant to current handlers, enrollment is open to everyone and we invite volunteer instructors, team evaluators, and prospective handlers to join us as well.

Professionalism in AAI

This webinar will provide recommendations for best practices regarding communication, dress code, and collaboration with facilities and clients. We will also review ways in which a handler can ensure their animal is treated in a professional way.

Volunteering as a Minor Handler

April 17, 2018, 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time

This webinar will provide an overview of the registration process that a prospective handler under 18 years of age goes through to become registered with Pet Partners. We will discuss the responsibilities of the minor handler as well as those of their parent/ guardian and provide recommendations for making this a successful volunteer experience for youth.
