Nominations for the 2025 Pet Partners Pet of the Year: Now Open! 

Today’s the day! Be a part of the action in the fourth annual Pet Partners Pet of the Year! This exciting fundraiser honors the furry, feathered, and scaled companions who make our lives better.   

Does your dog stand out from the pack? Your feline friend has amazing cat-itude? Or your horse is ready to gallop into the spotlight? Nominate your pet, or another favorite pet in your life, for Pet of the Year!  

How Does Pet of the Year Work?  

Any animal can be nominated. This includes current or retired Pet Partners therapy animals, beloved pets, or even those who have crossed the rainbow bridge. And all species are welcome! Between February 3 and March 2, you get to brag loudly, post widely, and raise funds on behalf of your wonderful pet.   

Anyone can nominate a pet. You don’t have to volunteer with Pet Partners to highlight your most beloved animal. If there’s a special pet in your life, tell us about them by starting your campaign and sharing their story! 

If your pet is at the top of the leaderboard at the end of this six-week competition, they will be crowned Pet of the Year Pet Partners! All money raised will support the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program.   

What Are You Fundraising For?  

Each year, hundreds of pet candidates from many different species are nominated. Then, pet parents fundraise on their behalf. The competition can get fierce, but it’s all for an excellent cause.   

Every dollar raised is a dollar more for our Therapy Animal Program! Our program educates, registers, and supports therapy animal teams. Teams visit people in need in places like schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and many more. If you’ve never fundraised before, that is OKAY!  It just takes some creativity and passion. Past candidates with no fundraising experience have raised thousands and taken home the title! You never know what you can achieve, so why not nominate your wonderful pet today?   

What does the Pet of the Year win?  

Hundreds of dollars worth of prizes! The top three candidates who raise the most funds will each win prizes! Winners will be featured on the national Oh Behave! Show on Pet Life Radio and Four-Legged Life Podcast with America’s Pet Edu-Tainer, Arden Moore –the #1, longest-running pet podcast in America and one of Oprah’s Top 3 Pet Podcasts). Other prizes include toys and treats to pamper your pet, a custom vest, a year worth of trading cards, and so much more.
